Trek and Summit are specialized programming within Deer Creek Camps for 9th-10th grade students. Campers spend two or three weeks learning more about their God given talents and discovering how to live out loud for Christ daily! We want your student to be part of our three tier program designed specifically for teens who want to make a difference.
TREK Campers (Students who have completed the 9th grade)
The journey starts with the TREK Program that gives some freedom and leadership around camp for a two week term. Campers will have daily Leadership Legacy classes (DCC Leadership 101), special talks, and additional High Adventure Programming designed just for the TREK Program.
SUMMIT Campers (Students who have completed the 10th grade)
Summit Campers still experience the fun of camp, but now they have a chance to strengthen their leadership skills and begin to explore what God thinks about Servant Leadership through new and exciting ways of becoming involved in camp. A few examples are running the Sugar Shack, learning to teach low ropes, "adopting" a younger cabin, and continuing with Leadership Legacy classes (DCC Leadership 201).
Both programs will still get to experience the traditional camp activities the campers have grown to love.
