Jesus had just fed the 5000 when he made his disciples go onto the boat and go before him to the other side, while He dismissed the crowds. After He dismissed the crowds He went up the mountain to pray. He was left alone. That night, the ship that the disciples were on, was taken far off the shore by great winds and high waves. Jesus walked out to the boat and was going to pass the disciples by when the saw Him and thought He was a ghost. They were amazed. He told them, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid” (Matthew 14:27). How many times in our life do we lose faith that the Lord knows what He’s doing. His disciples were amazed when they watched Him walk on water, but He had just fed the 500o. Why are we so quick to doubt the power of God? How many times do we just let Him walk past us?
