If you ask your camper when they get home from camp what the definition of SIN is they will quickly respond “self-indulgent nature”. It is important that we know that our sin has to do with our attitude and our hearts. There are obviously different times of sin in our lives. We must remember that we are all sinners. There are temptations every day and Satan is constantly trying to tear us down (especially when we are falling more in love with Christ). This summer’s theme is “Armour Up”. We must remember to pick up the belt of truth, shield of faith, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit. All of these pieces of armor will continue to protect us from the evil one. Sometimes we think that we can do it all on our own, but we must remember that we are not in control of our own lives, but He is in control and He will continue to be a warrior for us as we go through the battlefield of this life. Be encouraged today and turn to Him with the sin in your life and continue to wear the armor He has given to us.
