Ectoshield

The morning was nice! It was cool and there was a little breeze. It warmed up during Bible Study. We had a beautiful mass in the Great Hall lead by Father Joseph. At Jump Start, Matt taught us about the 4 Squared Life.  Bear Competition followed, where we played Bear Brawl, Flicker Ball, Human Tic-Tac-Toe, Spartan Ball, Three Ball, and O-Ball  After Bear Comp. we separated into specialties. The Outdoor Wilderness group learned how to tie Bowline knots and the girls in Arts and Crafts wove baskets and made wooden signs.  For lunch Alma cooked up some tater tots with corn dogs and fruit cups. After campers received their mail, they headed back to their cabin for some well deserved FOB.

For Sugar Shack we had Juice Bars. Next it was off to Activities! There were so many Activities today. There were campers playing Archery Tag, climbing the Rock Wall and Floating Islands, riding the Barn Swing, etc. After Activities we cooled off in the pool. Before dinner we retired the colors and sang our national anthem.  We enjoyed Alma’s famous King Ranch Chicken!

We sang our praises loud during Team Meeting. Papa Bear shared with us the reassurance that Jesus does not judge us, but loves us for our hearts and wants a relationship with us.

After Team Meeting the Ectoshield was stolen by the Villains! The Ectoshield is what keeps the fun happening at Deer Creek Camp. We recruited our campers to help us find the parts to the Ectoshield that the Villains have hidden. We were successful and celebrated with a dance party in the Barn Swing.

We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us tomorrow!
