The morning was nice! It was cool and there was a little breeze. It warmed up during Bible Study. At Jump Start, Papa Bear taught us about the 4 Squared Life. Bear Competition followed, where we played Bear Brawl, Flicker Ball, Human Tic-Tac-Toe, Spartan Ball, and Three Ball. After Bear Comp. we separated into specialties. The Outdoor Wilderness group learned how to tie Bowline knots and the girls in Arts and Crafts wove baskets and made wooden signs. For lunch Alma cooked up some tater tots with corn dogs and fruit cups. After campers received their mail, they headed back to their cabin for some well deserved FOB.
The theme of the day was Disney Day and all the cabins partook in it. It was awesome! We jammed out to Lion King and Mulan during Sugar Shack.
For Sugar Shack we had Sundae Bars and Ice cream sandwiches. Next it was off to Activities! After Activities we cooled off in the river. Some campers floated on tubes while others kayaked and canoed. Before dinner we retired the colors and sang our national anthem. We enjoyed Alma’s famous King Ranch Chicken!
We sang our praises loud during Team Meeting. Papa Bear shared with us the reassurance that Jesus does not judge us, but loves us for our hearts and wants a relationship with us.
After Team Meeting the campers thought they were headed to go take showers but in fact they were headed to a surprise pool party!! We blasted the music and blew up the inflatables! It was seriously a rockin’ party!
We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us tomorrow!
