What are You Responsible For?

On the back of every staff member’s name tag it says, “I am responsible”.  This week the campers are learning what it means to be responsible with our choices and also our words.  God gives us certain freedoms of choice and we have to realize that our station in life is affected by the choices that we make.  If we are making good choices then usually our life is pretty good, but if we are making bad choices then we can usually see the resutls of those bad choices because they have bad consequences.  God also teaches us in the book of Matthew that we need to let our yes be yes and our no be no to be young men and women of our word.  When we say we are going to do something we need to make sure that we are following through wtih what we said.  One of our CORE values here at camp is “all means all and that’s all, all means”.  This CORE value is important because it reminds us that we are responsible as Christians to make sure that we are living out our lives for Christ and making sure that we are keeping our word and making good choices.
