Monday doesn’t seem to be the most popular day of the week but we love it here at Camp! Monday’s are the best!
The morning started a little overcast and drizzly and then during Bible Study the rain came pouring down. We had Jump Start in the Deer Dome where Papa Bear taught us that choices have consequences. Bear Competition followed, but due to the rain we had to improvise and we had Bear Brawl in the Great Hall. It was a nice change of scenery and the tribe cheers echoed loudly. After Bear Comp. we separated into specialties. By this time the rain let up. The Outdoor Wilderness group learned how to tie Bowline knots and the Soccer boys broke in the Arena Soccer field. Lunch was delicious today. Alma cooked up some of her famous Mac&Cheese along with corn dogs and fish sticks. After campers received their mail, they headed back to their cabin for some well deserved FOB.
For Sugar Shack we had the choice between Ice Cream Sandwiches and Ice Cream cups. There were a couple of dance offs that ensued and then it was off to Activities! After Activities we had a pool party complete with pool noodles and bumping music. Before dinner we retired the colors and enjoyed scrumptious Sloppy Joes for dinner. J-Camp then broke for showers while S-Camp played wiffle ball against the counselors.
We sang our praises loud during Team Meeting. Papa Bear closed us out for the evening with reassurance that Jesus does not judge us, but loves us for our hearts and wants a relationship with us.
We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us tomorrow!
