Our program centers on Biblical truths, epic adventure and intentional relationships.
We teach campers how to put their faith into action by developing a heart for Jesus and a desire to journey with God.
Medina, Texas is our home.
We're nestled 12 miles west of Bandera just off Highway 16 on 175 acres. Rolling hills, marvelous sunsets, the Medina river, plenteous wildlife, and the big blue Texas sky await all those who visit.
Deer Creek is a non-denominational Christian camp.
Summer weeks range between 75-150 campers per session, and the staff to camper ratio is 1:5.
We hire mature Christian staff who model a Godly lifestyle we hope campers will want to follow.
We have relationships with several large Texas churches and university ministries that help recommend summer staff to us. We personally interview and prayerfully consider each staff application that we receive. Before hiring, all must sign a statement of belief, complete an extensive background check, and provide us with at least three references.
We can't wait to see you!
The gates will open at 3:30 on Sunday, and our welcoming committee will be there to greet you and introduce you to your camper's counselor. During this time, you'll receive your cabin assignments, drop off any medications, set up the camp store account, and pick up your swag bag or any other pre-order items. You're welcome to assist your camper in making their bunk and getting settled into camp. The evening program will kick off at 5 pm for all campers.
Get ready for some thrilling sports and adventure at Deer Creek Camp! We offer a variety of activities to enhance skills and teamwork in areas campers are interested in. From sports like basketball and soccer to adventures like high-ropes and hiking, there's something for everyone. Campers can choose their preferred options here!
Parents are highly encouraged to attend the closing ceremonies. During this special event, we will recognize camper accomplishments and present awards. We'll also share fun stories and cherished memories from the week. As an added treat, a continental breakfast will be served to the families in attendance. Don't miss out on this memorable conclusion to an amazing camp experience!
The Camp Store will be open for families to pick up camper money and do some shopping.
We know that your child’s safety is top priority, and it’s absolutely ours too.
We’ve prioritized the creation and execution of responsible guidelines to protect campers. We work hard to uphold the requirements of the CCCA (Christian Camping Conference Association), and we maintain high standards to keep all campers safe.
