At Deer Creek, preparation begins long before campers arrive. Our team trains, reviews protocols, and has clear plans in place for staff care, medical needs, weather events, and emergency situations.
During camp, our leaders stay present and aware—supervising closely and responding quickly when needed. It’s one way we honor the trust parents place in us and help campers step fully into the adventure of summer camp.

From child protection training to activity-specific certifications, our team is prepared for more than the schedule. Counselors are trained to supervise well, respond calmly, and help campers feel known, supported, and safe.

Trained staff and camp leadership follow established protocols for both routine health concerns and more urgent situations. Our team is prepared to communicate clearly, respond quickly, and coordinate with emergency services when needed — always keeping the camper’s wellbeing as the priority.
