Road trip

Deer Creek hits the road!

In the past two months, my brothers and I embarked on a journey, visiting various camps and engaging in conversations with their directors to gain insights into how God is guiding their ministries.

These encounters have sparked a spirit of adventure within us, propelling us even more fervently towards our own upcoming camp.

Iowa Regular Baptist Camp

IRBC is an awe-inspiring church camp in Iowa that has recently crafted a remarkable multipurpose facility.

Phil and his team at IRBC have been nothing short of amazing! They extended their hand with unparalleled graciousness, granting us complete access to their building plans, summer programming, and even offering us insightful Q&A sessions with their dedicated staff. It's been an incredible opportunity for us to "look under the hood" of another camp, gaining fresh perspectives and ideas to further enhance our own endeavors. With each interaction at IRBC, we've witnessed the true essence of camaraderie and support within the camp community. Their willingness to share their journey and experiences has left us invigorated, filled with renewed excitement for our own future.

We are immensely grateful to Phil and his team for their openness and encouragement, which have ignited a spark of enthusiasm within us to create an even more unforgettable experience for all our campers.

Kanakuk

Thomas and I embarked on yet another fulfilling expedition to the enchanting world of Kanakuk in Branson, Missouri. There, we had the privilege of meeting Joe White and the dedicated staff, and oh, what an enriching experience it was!

In the presence of Joe and the team, we felt truly challenged and wholeheartedly encouraged. Kanakuk's commitment to intentionality in their discipleship program left a lasting impression on us. It was evident that every aspect of their camp was thoughtfully crafted to nurture and develop young hearts.

Joe's graciousness knows no bounds, and he generously shared their wealth of knowledge gained over the years of intentional discipleship. Their journey has been an inspiration, and we are now even more resolute in our mission here at camp. With newfound vigor, we dive deeper into what we believe the Lord is calling us to do.

Camp is less than a month away, and we can't wait to have the staff and campers here for an incredible summer! As we gear up for this exciting season, I wanted to take a moment to share some remarkable experiences that have unfolded in recent weeks.
